Inclusion Base Teacher (SEMH)

  • Pay Scale: Teachers Pay Scale, MPS + SEN 1
  • Starting Date: Autumn Term 2026
  • Location: West Hill Primary School, Wandsworth, London

About the School

West Hill Primary School is a one-form entry school in the heart of Wandsworth, London, with strong transport links. We are a caring, inclusive community school celebrating diversity, with:

  • Over 50% of pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds

Our motto: ‘Ready to learn, Inspired to achieve, Prepared for life’

About the Role

We are seeking an inspiring, compassionate, and skilled teacher to join our Inclusion Base—a specialist provision for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This role combines teaching excellence with therapeutic support, focusing on a relational, trauma-informed, and nurturing approach. The position prioritises:

  • High-quality classroom practice and trauma-sensitive instruction
  • Support for emotional regulation and engagement
  • Gradual reintegration into mainstream education where appropriate

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist SEMH teaching alongside therapeutic support to meet pupils' emotional and learning needs.

  • Promote consistent routines, adaptive teaching, and high impact instruction tailored to individual needs.
  • Apply trauma-informed and nurture-based practice to foster a safe, empathetic learning environment.
  • Ensure pupils are prepared for reintegration into broader school life while maintaining progress.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
