Goals Beyond Grass is looking for a reliable, friendly and practical person to help deliver our Inclusive Cycling programme.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, meeting people from all walks of life and making a real difference in their local community. You'll be leading sessions when our Inclusive Cycling Delivery Lead, Mary Clare, is unavailable, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
No two sessions are the same, but every session helps people with additional needs experience the freedom and enjoyment that cycling can bring.
What the role involves
Gloucester Athletics Track & Forest of Dean Cycle Centre
Your day will typically include:
- Collecting the session keys from the Goals Beyond Grass office.
- Driving to the venue.
- Unloading adapted bikes and equipment from the van or storage container.
- Setting up the cycling area ready for participants.
- Welcoming cyclists and collecting session payments.
- Helping participants safely on and off the bikes.
- Supporting volunteers and ensuring everyone enjoys their session.
- Packing away bikes and equipment at the end of the session.
- Returning any money collected to the office.

Belmont School
Sessions follow a similar format, although our volunteers will have already opened the storage containers before you arrive. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up the bikes and equipment.
- Collecting payments.
- Assisting participants on and off the bikes.
- Supporting the session throughout.
- Packing everything away at the end.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is organised, dependable and happy taking responsibility for running sessions.
- Enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities.
- Is confident communicating with participants, families and volunteers.
- Is physically able to move adapted bikes and equipment.
- Can work independently while also being part of a supportive team.
- Has a full UK driving licence.

Previous experience working with people with additional needs is helpful but not essential. We'll provide guidance and support—what matters most is your attitude and willingness to help people enjoy being active.
