Income & Admin Officer
Income and Administration Officer – £28,031.56 per annum
Job Type
Permanent
Hours & Location
37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri
- Core hours: 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm (flexible to support 7am–7pm)
- Base: Cherry House, 224 Victoria Road, Cambridge CB4 3LG
- Responsibility: Covers a patch of 12 Supported and Retirement Living Services
About the Role
Work collaboratively as part of a committed team to:
- Provide income management advice, guidance, and support to customers and colleagues
- Sustain tenancies and maximise rental income
- Deliver income administration across a defined number of properties
Key responsibilities focus on arrears management, rent collection, and financial support.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with vulnerable and diverse customer groups, including those with complex needs
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Exceptional communication skills, with strong empathy, advice, and guidance abilities
- Ability to confidently make decisions on rent arrears management
- Competency in literacy, numeracy, administration, and IT systems (e.g., generating reports)

Role Profile
Income Management Duties
- Ensure customers understand rent/support charges and the impact on sustention
- Provide proactive advice, guidance, and co-produced payment plans
- Support responsive rent arrears management
- Guided referrals to the Riverside Income Maximisation Team for complex cases
- Consult with colleagues on eviction processes (if required)
- Assist with efficient payment options for customers

Administrative Tasks
- Manages petty cash and monitoring of income/expenditure
- Generates and distributes rent statements
- Updates tenancy/financial data on digital platforms
- Collates returns, reports, and documentation as needed
Additional Responsibilities
- May travel to multiple properties for appointments
- Must adhere to Lone Worker protocols when necessary
- Ensures safety/confidentiality under police procedures, safeguarding, GDPR, cash handling
- Aligns with Riverside’s company values
