Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Performance
- Lead the delivery of income management services, ensuring alignment with evolving government policies, welfare reforms, and cost-of-living pressures.
- Collaborate with [Head of Service] and fellow Income Locality Managers to shape a resilient, high-performing strategy.
- Motivate and manage high-performing teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement effective income performance frameworks, driving officer productivity, strong arrears management, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish coaching and development opportunities, empowering colleagues with the skills needed for long-term success.

Data-Driven Improvement
- Leverage data, audits, and performance insights to ensure performant and compliant rent account management.
- Create meaningful performance measures and reporting processes that identify trends, enhance compliance, and elevate service delivery.
- Proactively use insights to mitigate risks and decision-making in a precise and actionable way.
Travel & Flexibility
While the role is home-based, regular travel to Worcester and Birmingham offices will be required. You will need:
- Possession of a valid driving licence
- Access to a personal vehicle (for business use)
Requirements
An exceptional leader in income management needing:
- Experience in leading income-related teams within the housing sector (ideally).
- Proven success in introducing or improving income services.
- Ability to manage and deliver successful performance indicators, with strong metrics-based focus.
- Customer-centric mindset; commitment to engaging tenants in fair and effective interactions.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office—ability to generate insightful data reports for strategic planning.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills across internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance will be required.
