About the Role
A UK-based food safety business is seeking a limited number of independent commercial agents to:
- Develop the London market for a scientifically validated allergen control solution and a structured compliance implementation protocol.
- Open doors to compliance-focused food operators where allergen risk, duty of care, audit-readiness, and process consistency are critical.
- Establish territory/industry focus once London coverage is in place.

London Market Coverage & Structure

Key Responsibilities
1. Pipeline & Prospecting
- Build a high-quality pipeline across agreed London areas/verticals, including:
- Food manufacturing
- Contract packing/bakery/confectionery
- Retail food prep/food-to-go
- Commercial foodservice
- GMP/ISO 22000-compliant environments
- Win meetings with senior Ops, Technical, and QA stakeholders.
- Present the solution’s value, assess fit, and scope risk drivers/implementation needs.
2. Sales & Closing
- Structured commercial conversations → disciplined follow-up → clean handover.
- Progress opportunities through to close (forecasting, pipeline updates).
3. Implementation & Onboarding
- Conduct structured Protocol Assessments/Site Reviews (checklist-based, not third-party audits or certified risk assessments).
- Baseline existing controls.
- Agree priorities & support embedding/troubleshooting improvements.
- Ensure seamless process adoption.
4. Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain activity notes and pipeline updates via simple CRM.
Commercial Terms
- Appointment: Independent/self-employed (not employer).
- Compensation: Commission-only.
- Revenue Share: Elastic territories/sector allocation post-performance review (focus on quality, conduct, and hygiene over volume).

Essential Criteria (Must-Have)
🔸 B2B sales experience into food operators (or similarly regulated sectors). 🔸 Credible food safety/allergen knowledge (HACCP-based controls, supplier assurance, corrective actions, audit readiness). 🔸 Implementation-led selling (skill in process change, training, verification, documentation—not product hand-off). 🔸 London network to unlock multi-stakeholder meetings. 🔸 High professional standards (discretion, reliable follow-up, pipeline hygiene, integrity).
Nice to have: 🔹 Experience with GMP/ISO 22000. 🔹 Ability to navigate multi-site skills group engagement.
