We’re looking for a customer-focused and strategically minded professional to join us as our new Independent Audit and Risk Committee Member
This is a great opportunity to help us deliver our Business Strategy, strengthen our approach to assurance, and support our journey to being the UK’s best housing provider.
What you'll be doing
You’ll work closely with other Committee Members to provide effective oversight, challenge and assurance to the Board. You’ll help ensure our decisions support strong governance, manage risk well, reflect customer insight and keep customers and communities at the heart of what we do.
The Committee meets at least four times a year, mostly virtually, with one in-person strategy day.
The stuff that sets you apart
We’re looking for someone with a background in the housing sector and strategic experience in either asset management or housing management. You’ll bring sound judgement, curiosity and the confidence to provide constructive challenge, alongside a strong focus on customer inclusion and customer experience. An understanding of the legal and regulatory environment affecting housing providers would be a real advantage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
