We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Independent Financial Adviser to join a well-established financial planning firm in Guildford.

This role offers the chance to work with a steady stream of provided leads, delivering tailored financial advice while building long-term client relationships in a supportive and professional environment.

£40,000 - £75,000 per year

Office based with some WFH opportunities

Our client is an independent financial planning firm based in Guildford, Surrey, providing bespoke advice on pensions, investments and life insurance.

They are seeking a dedicated and professional Independent Financial Adviser to provide expert financial guidance and planning services to a diverse client base. ALL client leads provided. This role involves assessing clients’ financial needs, developing tailored strategies, and supporting them in achieving their financial goals.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services and planning, with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Whilst full administration and paraplanning support is provided they will be confident in working independently. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about helping others secure their financial future and looking to develop their career within the financial sector.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to understand clients’ current financial status and future objectives.
  • Develop personalised financial plans covering investments, pensions, insurance, estate planning, and other relevant areas.
  • Provide clear, unbiased advice aligned with clients’ needs, risk tolerance, and long-term goals.
  • Keep abreast of industry regulations, market trends, and new financial products to offer up-to-date advice.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, recommendations, and transactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships through regular reviews and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with other financial professionals to deliver holistic solutions where necessary.
  • Ensure all advice complies with relevant legal and ethical standards within the financial services sector.

Skills

  • Proven experience or strong interest in financial services and planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and compliance.
  • Ability to analyse clients’ financial situations critically and develop effective strategies.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to client engagement and business development.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks governing independent financial advice.
  • Professional qualification is essential with Dip PFS or equivalent as a minimum.
