Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Independent Living Support Worker to work across our vibrant organisation.
Hours: 22 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
What You’ll Do
- Provide person-centred support to residents within independent living and sheltered housing schemes.
- Carry out welfare visits and wellbeing calls to promote customer safety and independence.
- Assess support needs and complete support plans, risk assessments, and related documentation.
- Work with customers and partner agencies to adapt support as needs change.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and make safeguarding referrals where appropriate.
- Support tenancy sustainment through assessments, customer profiling, and income and expenditure reviews.
- Conduct property viewings and tenancy sign-ups, helping to minimise void periods.
- Build positive relationships with customers, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Advocate for customers where needed and empower them to access support and services independently.

What You’ll Need
- Experience providing housing-related support and promoting independent living.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations sensitively and professionally.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and responsibilities.
