Independent Prescribing Pharmacist
Location: Medway or Crawley (RH10 9BG)
Pay: £35/hour (PAYE) or £42/hour (self-employed)
Job Type: Temporary- Ongoing | Out of Hours (Evenings & Weekends) | On-site
Are you an experienced Independent Prescribing Pharmacist looking for your next challenge in urgent care?
We're recruiting on behalf of South East Coast Ambulance Service for pharmacists to join their NHS 111 Clinical Assessment Service, supporting patients with urgent healthcare needs through expert clinical assessment and safe, effective prescribing. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, making autonomous clinical decisions that have a real impact on patient care.

What we're looking for:
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist with Independent Prescriber qualification
- Experience prescribing across a broad range of medications and clinical conditions
- Previous prescribing experience within Primary Care
- Experience working within Out of Hours (OOH), Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC) or other urgent care settings
- Confident managing acute presentations and working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

The role:
- Deliver high-quality clinical assessments within the NHS 111 Clinical Assessment Service
- Independently assess, advise, and prescribe where clinically appropriate
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary urgent care team
- Provide safe, evidence-based care to patients requiring urgent healthcare advice
- Work predominantly evenings and weekends
