Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in London for an Independent Senior Gold Exploration Geologist working on Swedish gold exploration opportunities under a paid initial contract with potential project partnership. The geologist will lead and execute field programs, including planning and conducting geological mapping campaigns, supervising drilling operations, and overseeing core logging activities.

  • Collecting, recording, and interpreting geological and geochemical data
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Advising on exploration targets and program design

The role involves close collaboration with exploration teams, consultants, and project stakeholders, as well as occasional travel to project sites in Sweden for fieldwork and site assessments. The successful candidate will contribute to exploration strategy development, resource evaluation, and decision-making on project advancement and partnership opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong field geology skills, including Geological Mapping and Logging experience in hard-rock gold terrains.
  • Practical Drilling supervision skills, including Core Logging and sampling protocols for exploration programs.
  • Applied Geochemistry skills, including design and interpretation of soil, rock, and drill sample geochemical programs.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline, with extensive experience in gold exploration.
  • Demonstrated experience in Scandinavian or similar geological provinces, including resource evaluation, target generation, and technical reporting.
  • Proficiency with geological and GIS software, strong data interpretation and analytical skills, and the ability to work safely in remote field conditions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate independently and provide leadership in technical decision-making.
  • Familiarity with environmental and social standards in mineral exploration and a commitment to responsible, non-discriminatory professional practice.
