About The Job
Games Workshop has an exciting and rare opportunity for a Group Indirect Tax Advisor to join our international tax team. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic about delivering an efficient tax service, who can navigate complex Indirect tax situations on domestic and international requirements to ensure we maintain the highest standards.
We’re looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, you’ll protect Games Workshop by minimising tax charges and penalties as you’ll ensure all Indirect tax filing requirements are accurate and on time.
- You’ll be technically strong as well as being a people person comfortable communicating effectively across all levels of the business, managing external relationships with auditors and advisers.
- You’ll need to be proactive with great instincts of what needs to be achieved as you’ll provide tax support for global projects ensuring alignment with the unique requirements of the business to support growth with effective mechanisms in place to optimise tax outcomes and mitigate risks.
- With excellent organisational skills and a can-do attitude, you’ll ensure all process notes and process maps are documented ensuring corporate governance of our Tax Policy. You’ll always remain inquisitive supporting the evolution of processes and automation of Indirect Tax including E-Invoicing, Real Time Reporting, SAF-T, MTD and Fiscal Till Requirements.
- As we’re vertically integrated, you will be working across a range of business areas, and you’ll be given an opportunity to develop your skills in overseas tax requirements. Collaborating across Finance and other relevant departments you’ll take a methodical approach in preparing the UK Group VAT Return and other complex Indirect Tax filings. You’ll take responsibility for the EMEA and ASPAC indirect tax compliance, always ensuring that information flows seamlessly.

The role would suit someone who has previously worked in Indirect taxes in-house or in a wider accounts department who has filed complex VAT returns and wants to continuously develop their commercial outlook. Other Essential Information
- Location: This position is granted on a hybrid working basis where you will be expected to work out of our head office in Lenton, twice a week.
