About the Role
As the Indirect Tax Compliance Analyst, you will provide the complete, accurate, and timely processing of the Indirect Tax process, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures as well as external requirements.
Reporting directly to the EMEA Indirect Tax Manager of our parent company, RS Group plc, and you will report indirectly to the RSIS UK/EMEA Finance Manager.
What you will be doing
- Prepare and review VAT and other indirect tax returns across UK and EMEA (e.g. ECSL, ESPL or Intrastat returns, and Annual Client Sales Listing reports or Annual VAT returns), ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Reconcile indirect tax accounts with financial statements and manage VAT registrations.
- Monitor and implement changes in indirect tax legislation, advising on business impacts.
- Act as liaison between outsourced providers, the local RSIS finance team, Group Indirect Tax team, and Centre of Excellence teams, ensuring that issues and questions are properly resolved by the appropriate parties.
- Support process improvements, and adherence to internal tax controls.
- Support with VAT General Ledger reconciliations and resolve reconciling differences.
- Oversee Indirect Tax testing for changes to the configuration of JD Edwards and their implications for Indirect tax compliance and reporting.
- Support Tax function and business in analysis to resolve any queries from Authorities or local Finance.
- Preparation and delivery of VAT trainings to the closest RSIS stakeholders.
- Support the EMEA Indirect Tax Manager in the day-to-day management of Indirect tax returns as well as on ad-hoc projects.

What do I need to be successful?
If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:
- Experience in indirect tax compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Strong understanding of UK and EMEA indirect tax regulations and ability to interpret legislative changes.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience reconciling tax accounts and identifying discrepancies. Good attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across all levels of organizations as well as different functions.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, managing multiple stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Advanced Excel, MS Office.
