Our Tax Compliance team is a leading provider of technology-enabled compliance and integrated advisory services, working across an unrivalled range of prestigious clients. The variety of work, size of our team, and focus on learning and development bring opportunities to specialise in particular industries or technical areas.

PwC is one of the market leaders in global Indirect Tax compliance services, providing services to many of the firm’s largest and most important clients. We offer global and UK-only Indirect tax compliance services, with a key focus in EMEA.

Within our Compliance Services team, we are looking for an individual eager to develop their experience in indirect tax compliance and build a career in an established team.

This role offers the successful candidate an unparalleled opportunity to:

  • Build global VAT technical skills
  • Develop global Indirect Tax compliance awareness

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Dealing with client transactional reporting data and processing it into Indirect Tax Technologies
  • Running and reviewing client-specific exception reports produced by the technology
  • Performing an initial review of VAT filings for our clients
  • Coordinating timetables and contractual scope (with manager support) to ensure delivery against compliance obligations
  • Conducting Indirect Tax technical and accounting reviews of draft returns and client-specific exception reports
  • Selecting specific transactions for further review
  • Liaising with client personnel and managing relevant stakeholders
  • Keeping up to date with VAT legislation and practical changes that impact compliance
  • Monitoring relevant tax legislation and ensuring VAT processes align with technical requirements

  • You have good VAT technical knowledge
  • You possess EMEA VAT knowledge and experience (industry experience preferred but not mandatory)
  • You have previous experience in a VAT-related role
  • Your communication skills (both oral and written) are excellent
  • You demonstrate strong self-organisational skills
  • You are ambitious, with a strong desire to succeed
  • You are committed to team working
  • You can work within strict timetables and meet deadlines
  • You are driven to improve processes
