Indirect Tax Manager

Manager – VAT/GST Management (London, Embankment Place)

Our Indirect Tax team is market-leading, delivering advisory, operational, and compliance services to some of PwC’s largest and most important clients.

We cover all aspects of indirect tax, including:

  • VAT
  • Customs
  • Excise
  • Stamp taxes
  • Environmental taxes

Responsibilities

As a key part of the London, Embankment Place team, you’ll:

  • Build strong client relationships—understanding their needs and driving long-term engagements
  • Contribute to winning new business by collaborating seamlessly within and beyond the Indirect Tax team
  • Deliver insightful solutions that align with commercial, operational, and regulatory realities
  • Stay ahead of legislation—monitoring changes in indirect tax laws and applying them practically
  • Work as a trusted partner, bridging technical complexity and business strategy for clients

Requirements

We’re looking for: • Exceptional VAT technical acumen—deep understanding of evolving tax rules and challenges • Client-centric mindset—track record of delivering exceptional service in a consulting environment • Strategic advisory experience—ability to guide clients through complex transactions and disputes • Strong project management skills—balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards and deadlines • Discretion and ethical integrity—applying sound judgement when assessing risks and solutions

We also seek someone who: • Thrives in flexible work setups—whether remote, office-based, or client-site dependent • Embodies curiosity and resilience—collaborating across virtual networks to solve challenges
