Job Description

Are you an experienced VAT or indirect tax professional looking for a role where you can make a real commercial impact? At Chubb, we are looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to join our Glasgow office and play a key role in providing high-quality indirect tax advice across our business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident tax specialist who enjoys advisory work and wants to partner closely with senior stakeholders, finance teams, and business leaders across EMEA. The role is ideally suited to a manager-level candidate, or someone ready to step up into a senior manager position, with strong VAT expertise and the ambition to broaden their experience in a complex, international environment.

About The Role

You will provide comprehensive indirect tax advice to senior management, business teams, finance colleagues, and the wider tax function across EMEA. Your work will focus on reviewing existing and planned business transactions across Chubb’s business lines, identifying indirect tax issues early, and delivering practical advice that helps mitigate VAT, Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and parafiscal risk while supporting commercial decision-making.

You will become closely integrated with the business, helping to assess indirect tax implications before products go live and supporting new systems and change initiatives where indirect tax input is required. The role also includes support for compliance services across Chubb and affiliated companies in EMEA and the wider region.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
