About The Role

PwC’s market-leading Indirect Tax team provides advisory, operational and compliance services to major clients across VAT, customs, excise, stamp taxes and environmental taxes. You’ll work with curious, collaborative specialists to deliver innovative solutions for complex local and global challenges, while developing your technical, consulting and technology skills across a range of sectors. This Senior Manager role sits within the national Private Business Indirect Tax team, with locations including Reading, London, Birmingham and Manchester. You’ll be part of a team of problem solvers, supporting clients from strategy through to execution while building your career through challenging assignments.

What Your Days Will Look Like

  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams across the UK and global PwC network, supporting collaboration and long-term client engagement.
  • Work with Indirect Tax and wider PwC teams to win new clients and deliver high-quality, commercially focused advice and innovative solutions.
  • Manage, support and develop colleagues while working in multidisciplinary teams with customs, legal, systems and other specialists.
  • Stay up to date with indirect tax changes and use technology, senior leadership access and mentoring to solve client problems and develop professionally.

  • Strong VAT technical knowledge, analytical capability and confidence applying expertise to complex client issues.
  • A clear commitment to delivering excellent client service and building trusted, lasting relationships.
  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgement, appropriate consultation and awareness of risk when making decisions.
