Your role
As an Industrial Air Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive commercial growth and strengthen our presence by delivering high-quality Compressed Air and Vacuum solutions. You’ll be part of a collaborative and experienced field sales team, working to develop existing territories, expand market share, and build strong, long-term customer relationships.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities and preparing tailored proposals, to calculating competitive pricing and guiding clients through to successful delivery. Your work will involve close collaboration with the Sales Manager and wider team, as well as active participation in demonstrations, exhibitions, and client negotiations. Through a consultative, customer-focused approach, you’ll help reinforce our reputation as a trusted, market-leading brand and ensure we continue to deliver value and innovation to our clients.
You Will
- Grow market share within the assigned territory by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, resulting in increased sales of compressed air and vacuum solutions.
- Deliver commercially competitive proposals and pricing strategies that convert leads into sales, supporting both new business acquisition and the retention of existing clients.
- Drive successful sales outcomes by effectively presenting technical product demonstrations, participating in exhibitions, and contributing to commercial negotiations that lead to closed deals.
- Provide accurate technical guidance through on-site assessments and consultations, ensuring that customer needs are understood and aligned with appropriate product solutions.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent, responsive, and effective after-sales support, leading to long-term customer loyalty.
- Maximise distributor performance by managing, supporting, and incentivising the regional distributor network to achieve sales targets and strengthen market presence.
- Enhance sales effectiveness by ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of sales visits, market feedback, pipeline updates, and lost-order analysis, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
