The Role
Industrial Disease Paralegal – Manchester / Birmingham – Hybrid – up to £35,000
A well-regarded national law firm is seeking an Industrial Disease Paralegal to join its expanding Manchester or Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist Industrial Disease department handling complex, technical claims while developing your expertise in a top-tier practice.
Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of industrial disease claims including HAVS, Short Tail and NIHL
- Investigating liability, quantum and causation across a range of technical matters
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation and correspondence
- Reviewing medical, occupational and employment records
- Preparing evidence and supporting documentation for litigation
- Liaising with clients, experts and external stakeholders
- Working closely with senior fee earners on complex and higher-value cases
- Ensuring accurate file management and compliance throughout

The Candidate
- Paralegal with experience assisting on or managing industrial disease files
- Strong understanding of the litigation process
- Familiarity with HAVS, Short Tail or NIHL claims
- Strong academic background
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Proactive, detail-focused and committed to high-quality work
