Site Electrician – Supply Chain Manufacturing Excellence

About the Role
The Site Electrician plays a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted, reliable operation of all factory services, plant, and infrastructure across the year. This role ensures:
- All assigned electrical systems, plant, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) with compliance to relevant safety regulations.
- Prompt resolution of equipment issues and breakdowns to optimise manufacturing performance.
- Contribution to the global supply function by aligning with quality, compliance, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems to British Standard BS 7671, Employers’ Association Wiring Rules (EAWR), and site-specific standards.
- Conduct inspections, testing, verification, and generate accurate documentation for compliance and audits.
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory, and cleanroom standards.
- Maintain audit-ready, meticulous documentation.
- Support apprentices and uphold high workmanship standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet performance targets, including Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and budget controls.

Essential Requirements
- PC literate with proficiency in using electronic systems.
- Recognition for a completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services / Installation.
- Level 3 Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of BS 7671 electrical standards.
- ECS Gold Card is considered a plus.
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and automation.
- Control panel wiring and testing proficiency.
- Familiarity with technical drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Background in industrial automation or process-control environments.
- ATEX/competent person for dangerous substances (DSEAR) awareness or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience handling flammable or solvent-based processes.
- CompEx (Ex01 – Ex04) or relevant certification.
