Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award-winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to be able to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market. They continue to set the bar high in their highly regulated market!

Vacancy Details

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Manager to lead workforce relations at Hinkley Point C. Working closely with trade unions, workforce representatives, contractors, and project stakeholders, you will drive the industrial relations strategy, ensure compliance with ECSA and site agreements, support collective negotiations, and provide expert guidance on workforce issues to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the project's industrial relations strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with ECSA, collective agreements, and employment legislation.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with trade unions and workforce representatives.
  • Facilitate consultation, negotiation, and collective bargaining activities.
  • Manage industrial disputes, grievances, and workforce issues to minimise operational disruption.
  • Provide advice and support to senior leaders on industrial relations matters.
  • Monitor workforce sentiment, identify emerging risks, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Work collaboratively with contractors, HR teams, operational leaders, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop workforce relations policies and promote best practice across the project.

Skills And Experience

You'll have proven industrial relations experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or major projects, with strong knowledge of ECSA/NAECI agreements. You'll be confident working with trade unions, leading negotiations and dispute resolution, and influencing senior stakeholders in complex, multi-contractor environments.

You'll also have:

  • Degree-qualified in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business Management, Law, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification is desirable.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development within employment or industrial relations.
