Project Execution Manager – Industrial Transfer & Offset
Stevenage Salary: Circa £65,000 (dependent on experience)
About the Role
Within MBDA Operations, an exciting opportunity exists for a Project Execution Manager focused on industrial transfer and offset activities, including pre-contract engagements and post-contract delivery.
Delivering high-technology product transfers to schedule, cost and quality, you will work with local industries in export countries and various MBDA directorates (SBD IIC, Programmes, Operations, Finance) in a culturally diverse, high-stake environment.
This role requires dynamic (hybrid) working, with 1 day per week on-site, and security clearance (HMG British Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) required post-offer).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contract execution, transfer delivery, and supplier relationships across export markets.
- Lead large-scale industrial transfer and offset projects, ensuring delivery to cost, schedule, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with export suppliers, customers, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular international/domestic travel for progress meetings and reviews.
- Ensure accurate reporting of project performance up to director level.
- Provide technical expertise to address production and industrialisation issues.
- Challenge underperformance and drive project success.
- Oversee pre-contract and post-contract activities for compliance and excellence.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver transfer contract requirements.
- Support tendering and bidding activities for offset contracts.
- Produce and maintain contract risk, opportunity, and budget plans.
- Maintain export control awareness and accountability.
- Manage medium to large budgets associated with export commitments.
- Work across products and domains, including electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, assembly integration and testing.
- Strengthen export supplier relationships and integrate business, project, and quality management.
- Manage interactions with multi-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, finance, export).
- Develop international experience and broad product/manufacturing expertise.

Requirements & Qualities
A strong candidate will demonstrate:
- A teλικάls record in project management, proven in high-value, fixed-cost programmes.
- Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with production techniques, industrialisation methods, and export processes.
- Export, international business, and supplier management experience (desired).
- A proactive mindset, able to balance strategic business decisions with day-to-day tactical leadership.
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills, with an ability to manage multifunctional international teams under tight deadlines.
