Industry Advisor – Automotive (Senior Specialist)

About the Role
The Growth discipline drives business growth by building strategic partnerships, deepening client relationships, and leveraging industry expertise for clients and Endava teams. Within automotive, the team focuses on helping clients navigate major shifts such as:

The Industry Advisor is a senior specialist role combining deep automotive expertise with client engagement and advisory capabilities. Your mission:
- Shape automotive-specific offerings
- Build senior client relationships
- Support strategic pursuits
- Strengthen Endava’s position within the automotive ecosystem
Key Responsibilities
Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of automotive trends, market dynamics, regulatory drivers, and evolving technologies across OEMs, suppliers, mobility providers, dealerships, and adjacent ecosystems.
- Develop thought leadership—including industry white papers, trend analyses, and points of view—to showcase Endava’s expertise in:
- Software-defined vehicles
- Connected services
- Electrification
- Digital engineering & transformation
- Customer experience evolution
- Data-led business models
- Capture and share automotive insights internally through structured knowledge repositories, briefings, and learning initiatives to align Endava’s offerings with future industry demands.
Client Engagement & Business Development
- Cultivate and sustain senior relationships with automotive clients, translating strategic challenges into commercial opportunities for Endava.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and stakeholders across the automotive sector.
- Support sales and account teams by offering industry insights that shape new business opportunities, propositions, and account strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop bespoke go-to-market strategies that reflect market trends and client needs while leveraging Endava’s strengths.

Strategic Advisory & Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, delivery, and engineering teams to refine Endava’s automotive industry strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strengthen internal expertise by delivering training, workshops, and advisory support focused on automotive trends.
- Translate automotive market trends into practical client solutions across digital transformation, platform modernisation, data strategy, and operational optimisation.
External Representation & Networking
- Position Endava as a senior thought leader in the automotive industry via events, conferences, client engagements, and media channels.
- Build and expand Endava’s profile, network, and credibility among industry consortia, analysts, and technology partners.
- Forge partnerships with ecosystem players—including start-ups, consultancies, and subject matter experts—to accelerate growth opportunities.
Insight-Driven Growth & Opportunity Development
- Use client feedback, market intelligence, and trend analysis to identify and execute new avenues for business growth.
- Provide high-level advice to clients on technology adoption, best practices, and future-ready solutions.
- Share actionable insights with product, engineering, and delivery teams to enhance capabilities and client-centred offerings.
- Guide the necessary skills, technologies, platforms, and partnerships to solidify Endava’s automotive leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven senior-level experience in roles requiring industry management, consultancy, strategy, or automotive leadership.
- Deep technical and strategic understanding of automotive markets, competitive ecosystems, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to develop and execute cross-geography industry strategies, balancing commercial imperatives with long-term vision.
- Track record of building senior client relationships and establishing strategic partnerships with C-suite stakeholders.
- Pragmatic thought leadership, including industry speaking engagements and the ability to produce high-impact market analysis.
- Business development acumen—from opportunity identification to execution through comprehensive strategies.
- Strong analytical and commercial judgement combined with exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Capacity to mentor, lead, or upskill cross-functional or cross-regional teams.
- Ability to translate technology trends into business value, aligning market opportunities with client needs.
- Governance maturity with a focus on risk mitigation and organisational alignment.
