The Industry Cost Analyst

The Industry Cost Analyst plays a key role within the Optimisation & Structuring Group, supporting our operational retail pricing function and ensuring the accurate pricing of industry non-energy costs across GB retail and generation contracts. Reporting to the Retail Pricing Lead, the role combines technical expertise, analytical capability, and commercial awareness to maintain accurate pricing models, support operational pricing activities, and provide specialist advice on industry charging to stakeholders across the business.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Forecasting and maintaining industry cost data
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing management of new retail pricing services
  • Ensuring pricing reflects evolving regulatory and market changes

Working closely with teams including Sales, Trading, Operations, Risk, and Finance, you will contribute to new product development, communicate industry cost developments internally and externally, and help safeguard the business by ensuring pricing accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to information security policies.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
