Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage industry engagement
- Develop and execute structured engagement plans with priority stakeholders across assigned regions or themes (e.g. payments, market infrastructures, digital assets, resilience).
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in central banks, international organisations, standard‑setting bodies and industry associations.
- Represent Swift in selected external forums, roundtables and working groups, in coordination with regional, BD and product teams.

Convene dialogue and collaboration
- Support the design and delivery of convening platforms such as Policy Labs, senior roundtables and targeted workshops, ensuring high‑quality participation and policy‑relevant outcomes.
- Contribute to agenda setting, speaker coordination, stakeholder briefing and follow‑up actions linked to these engagements.
- Foster constructive public‑private dialogue on issues such as cross‑border payments, market efficiency, resilience, interoperability and trust.

Generate insight and strategic input
- Monitor industry, policy and regulatory developments relevant to Swift and its community.
- Produce structured insights, briefing notes and thematic summaries to inform senior management, product and strategy teams.
- Act as a point of coordination between external stakeholder perspectives and internal strategic priorities.

Cross‑functional collaboration
- Work closely with regional teams, strategic account managers, product experts, policy, public affairs and innovation teams to ensure coherent external messaging and engagement.
- Support the alignment of industry engagement activities with Swift’s broader strategic initiatives, including the G20 cross‑border payments agenda and market infrastructure evolution.

Experience and Qualifications
Required
- Relevant experience in industry engagement, policy, regulatory affairs, strategy, research or consulting within financial services, financial market infrastructures or a public‑sector environment.
- Strong understanding of at least one core financial domain (e.g. payments, securities, FX, trade or financial crime), with the ability to engage across adjacent areas.
- Proven ability to engage credibly with senior external stakeholders and manage complex, multi‑party interactions.
Preferred
- Experience working with or alongside central banks, supervisory authorities, international organisations or standard‑setting bodies.
- Exposure to frontier topics such as ISO 20022, cross‑border payments reform, digital assets, AI, resilience or cyber risk.
- Experience contributing to or managing industry forums, working groups or multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
Skills and Capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, including executive‑level briefing
- Analytical capability with the ability to synthesise complex policy and industry issues
- Organised, proactive and comfortable operating in a matrix environment
- High degree of judgement, discretion and professionalism

Compensation
The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $119,645 USD Annual to $222,197 Annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance.
Our generous benefits program includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance with no premium costs for our employees and their families, and retirement plan plus matching 401k.
