Industry Governance Specialist
Reports to - Industry Governance Manager, Joint Office of Gas Transporters
Location - Solihull
Job Purpose:
To coordinate gas industry governance processes and manage issues affecting the governance arrangements in accordance with the Uniform Network Code (UNC), ensuring that obligations are fulfilled.
To take the lead secretarial role and support the Chairpersons of Industry UNC Workgroups, UNC sub committees, cross-industry workgroups/forums and the UNC Modification Panel Secretary. Where required perform the duties of an impartial chair for gas industry subcommittees, workgroups/forums.
To ensure due process is maintained at all times and to facilitate the development of processes, acting as a key interface and trusted advisor with external stakeholders in terms of governance arrangements.
To oversee the internal administration processes within the Joint Office ensuring that all external obligations are met in a timely manner.
Key Accountabilities:
- Efficiently administer governance processes for maintaining and modifying the commercial gas regime.
- Fulfil the lead secretarial role and/or chair for external workgroups and subcommittees as necessary.
- Provide expertise and support to the industry on the administration of the UNC governance processes.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of internal administration processes in the fulfilment of Joint Office’s obligations.
- Coordinate the provision of timely and up-to-date information for the industry on the Joint Office website.
- Identify areas for improvement in both internal and external code processes.
- Support the development of key performance indicators for the Joint Office.
- Provision of high-quality minutes/reports.
- In respect of all of the above contribute to the development and maintenance of the Joint Office’s reputation for excellence in code governance.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant experience in regulated energy markets or related disciplines
- Experience in participating in external meetings and working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in minute taking/report writing.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills – verbal and written.
- Demonstrable competency in PC packages – Microsoft Outlook, Adobe
- Organisational/administrative skills with clear attention to detail.
- Collaborative, team player with the ability to adapt and be flexible in tasks undertaken.
- Knowledge of UNC and elements of gas industry governance/commercial framework.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry.

Other Information
This is a full-time role with hybrid working arrangements.
Occasional travel may be required for industry meetings, most are online but a flexible approach is essential.
