The Role & Your Impact

As Industry Sales Associate Director, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and execution—guiding sales teams while partnering across functions to deliver sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic direction of the local sales organization in collaboration with the Head of Sales, ensuring cross-functional alignment across:

    • ISMs
    • Account Managers
    • Marketing
    • Technical Services
    • Supply Chain
    • Sales Excellence
  • Translate industry strategies and global plans into actionable account strategies and execution

  • Lead budget planning processes (BRM, forecasting, RSF input) and ensure strong financial discipline

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including:

    • Senior leadership
    • PMT members
  • Ensure effective deployment of resources and proper allocation of:

    • Account Managers
    • Sales teams
  • Drive excellence in:

    • Sales processes
    • Tools
    • Salesforce data quality
  • Lead change management initiatives to improve:

    • Performance
    • Operational effectiveness

External Engagement & Market Positioning

  • Lead C-level engagement with:

    • Key customers
    • Strategic partners
  • Represent Novonesis in:

    • Industry associations
    • Conferences

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

To succeed in this role, you must combine strong commercial leadership experience with the ability to operate strategically across a complex organization.

Essential Requirements

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Sales, Marketing, or a relevant technical field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within chemical or biochemical industries
  • Proven experience in:
    • Account management
    • Sales leadership
  • Strong people management skills, with ability to:
    • Lead
    • Motivate
    • Develop teams
  • Experience driving:
    • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Strategic initiatives
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including:
    • Budget management
    • Forecasting
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels.

Additional Skills & Interests (Valued)

  • Experience working in global or matrix organizations
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Experience in strategic partnerships and alliance development
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead change initiatives
  • Passion for developing talent and fostering a high-performance culture

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base salary range: $180,000 – $210,000 + 25% target bonus
  • 401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution
  • Minimum 3 weeks vacation + 12 holidays + 2 weeks Wellness Time
