About The Role
We are looking for an Industry Sales Manager to join our Sales Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong B2B consultative sales experience who enjoys building relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and helping customers find solutions that support safety, compliance and operational performance.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of established and developing accounts within your industry sector, while also identifying new prospects and growth opportunities in order to drive ambitious and responsible revenue growth targets. You will work closely with customers, internal teams and external stakeholders to promote Ardent’s solutions, maintain accurate sales forecasts and contribute to profitable sales growth.

- Maintain, strengthen and grow commercial relationships with existing key customers while developing new business opportunities in order to provide world-class solutions and service.
- Identify and develop strong relationships with key prospects, decision makers and stakeholders within your industry sector.
- Attend onsite and online meetings with customers and prospects to present the benefits of Ardent’s fire suppression solutions.
- Identify opportunities to sell, upsell and cross-sell across your customer base.
- Manage sales opportunities through the sales process, maximising order value and profitability.
- Keep CRM opportunities, forecasts, key dates and commercial information accurate and up to date.
- Provide clear information to internal teams to support contract review, delivery planning and customer service.
- Support the development of market insight by monitoring customer needs, competitor activity, sector trends and potential risks.
About You
You will be a proactive, organised and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys working with customers and building long-term partnerships. You will be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and comfortable selling technical or engineering-led solutions, even if you do not currently have a technical background.
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of three years’ sector specific / adjacent sector experience in B2B consultative sales, or equivalent relevant experience
- Confidence presenting ideas and solutions to internal or external audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach, with the motivation to identify opportunities and follow them through.
- An aptitude for selling technical or engineering solutions.
- Wider industry sector knowledge in plant, mining, aggregates or ports would be beneficial.
- Fire suppression industry knowledge and/or marketing experience would be advantageous.
- A degree is preferred but not essential where relevant experience and career enrichment can be demonstrated.
