Informatica Tester – SC Cleared
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Informatica Tester – SC Cleared.
This role will be Inside of IR35, so you will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.
Must not have been outside of the UK for more than 6 Months in the last 5 years.
Key Requirements:
- We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in ETL and Data Warehouse testing using Informatica PowerCentre, Oracle, and UNIX shell scripting.
- The role will play a critical part in validating data migration from SAS based ETL processes to Informatica, ensuring accuracy, quality, and reliability of enterprise data pipelines.
- The required skill set—including Informatica PowerCentre (v10.6 preferred), Oracle, UNIX scripting, and SAS exposure for ETL migration—is aligned with current project demands.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute end-to-end test strategies for ETL and Data Warehouse systems.
- Validate data migration from SAS to Informatica ETL pipelines.
- Perform data validation between source and target systems ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Create and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for ETL workflows.
- Develop SQL queries and validation scripts using Oracle to verify data transformations.
- Use UNIX shell scripting for test automation, job validation, and log analysis.
- Conduct system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, and UAT support.
- Identify, log, and track defects; perform root cause analysis and collaborate with development teams.
- Validate data quality, reconciliation, and business rules across warehouse layers.
- Contribute to test documentation, including test plans, reports, and traceability matrices.

Key Experience:
- Strong experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing.
- Hands on experience with Informatica PowerCentre (v10.6 preferred).
- Solid experience with Oracle SQL for data validation and testing.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Proven ability to perform data reconciliation and transformation validation.
- Experience in testing batch processing and ETL pipelines.
Desirable Skills:
- Working knowledge of SAS (statistical analysis system).
- Experience in validating SAS to Informatica migration projects.
- Familiarity with data modelling concepts (dimensional models, star schema).
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Jira).
- Exposure to data quality frameworks and governance controls.
