Hours: 30 Salary: HC06 £28,142 – £32,062 pro rata (£22,817 – £25,996 per annum) Contract: Permanent
The Role
Herefordshire Council are seeking an enthusiastic Information Governance Support Officer to support the administration processes and workload within our busy Information Governance Team. Forming part of the Corporate Services Directorate, the Information Governance Team is a dynamic, multi-skilled team, responsible for delivering our strategy for meeting statutory requirements around managing information.
What will you be doing?
As an Information Governance Support Officer, you will act as one of the main points of contact for:
- Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests
- Environmental Information Regulations requests
- Other information requests from the public
You will also support the wider Information Governance team with:
- Implementation of the council’s Information Governance policy and framework
- Work with and directly support the Information Governance Manager, Data Protection Officer, and other team members
Key responsibilities and skills include:
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Experience working to strict deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information effectively
About You
To excel in this role, you will have:
- A good educational background, preferably to A-Level standard
- Demonstrable recent and continuing professional development
- Experience of working within Information Governance or Administration
- The ability to work within a complex environment while managing changing priorities
