In the energy sector, the UK will need to invest up to £900 billion in capital expenditure to enable a net zero economy by 2050. For our clients in the sector, this means delivering complex projects and programmes delivering low-carbon technologies and infrastructure, safely, efficiently, and at pace.
We seek an Information Management (IM) Specialist to:

- Drive Information Management discipline, ensuring efficient information governance and successful project delivery.
- Deliver IM process and system training, including how to produce and assure information digitally under ISO 19650 standards.
- Act as the lead IM professional on projects/programmes, overseeing implementation of structured IM systems.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Defining and delivering IM strategies, standards (including ISO 19650), and best practices tailored to client projects/programmes.
- Establishing and managing the IM function for projects, ensuring alignment with strategies and processes.
- Training project/programme teams on IM practices and driving continuous improvement in information management.
- Managing assurance and quality control of documents and artefacts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Line managing, coaching, and mentoring the IM team, including direct and indirect reports.
- Contributing to a global digital centre of excellence, including proposals (bids), knowledge repositories, and case studies.
- Setting up, implementing, and refining common data environments (CDEs) for digital collaboration.
- Collaborating on net zero carbon transition initiatives, proactively identifying and managing carbon emissions during project delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
