Job Summary
The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist (SOC Analyst) plays a critical role in protecting Swissport’s networks and infrastructure. You will:
- Collaborate tightly with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to detect, investigate, and resolve insecure features and malicious activities.
- Manage security controls, including email security gateways and vulnerability management systems.
- Support cyber risk awareness programs across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day activities will include:

Incident Response & Alert Management
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts from the SOC, SIEM, and EDR platforms.
- Assess risks and drive remediation for vulnerable assets.

Email and Threat Protection
- Oversee and fine-tune email security gateways (quarantine review, rule adjustments).
- Reduce false positives through evidence-based decision making.

Risk and Compliance
- Support vulnerability management, from detection to tracking remediation.
- Contribute to cyber risk assessments for new software and services.

User Awareness
- Conduct phishing simulations and analyse results.
- Lead security awareness initiatives, including training campaigns and compliance follow-ups.

System Enforcement
- Ensure logging coverage and data integrity for the SIEM.
- Validate log forwarding from critical systems.

Incident Investigation & Forensics
- Assist in investigations involving compromised accounts or endpoint devices.

Process & Documentation
- Develop repeatable security operations processes.
- Contribute to improved tools, workflows, and controls.
Your Profile
We’re looking for an experienced individual with:
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in:
- Cybersecurity operations
- System/network monitoring
- Incident response
- Familiarity with:
- Email security
- Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
- Vulnerability management
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Basic knowledge of information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Strong communication skills to explain technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset with a continuous improvement mentality.
- Ability to:
- Operate independently on routine tasks.
- Escalate issues when necessary.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Desirable Qualifications
- A relevant qualification or certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900).
- Experience in a regulated or high-availability environment (e.g., aviation, critical national infrastructure).
