About the Role

My client is seeking a knowledgeable Information & Cyber Security Analyst to join their team in delivering strong security protections. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring information remains secure and protected at all times.

The Information Security & Cyber Security Analyst is split across four core focus areas:

  • Incident Response
  • Vulnerability Management
  • SIEM
  • Security Monitoring

You will provide expertise on security best practices and act as a subject matter expert (SME) when assisting other teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on cyber security best practices and provide technical guidance across the business.
  • Lead and support incident response processes and investigations.
  • Perform vulnerability management to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Monitor security events using SIEM (Security Information & Event Management).
  • Utilise technical security tools such as EDR, Wireshark, and DLP.
  • Develop and enhance threat-mitigation strategies.

Essential Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Incident Response experience
  • Security Monitoring experience
  • Vulnerability Management experience
  • Knowledge of technical security tools, including:
    • SIEM (e.g., Sentinel, Defender)
    • EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response)
    • Wireshark, Burp Suite (for penetration testing)
    • DLP (Data Loss Prevention)
  • Hands-on experience with KQL (Kusto Query Language)
  • Broad technical understanding of:
    • Windows & Linux
    • Networking
    • Virtualisation (e.g., VMware)
  • Familiarity with security certifications (GCIA, GCIH, GCFA) is advantageous.
  • Investigation experience into Information & Cyber Security incidents.
