About the Role
My client is seeking a knowledgeable Information & Cyber Security Analyst to join their team in delivering strong security protections. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring information remains secure and protected at all times.
The Information Security & Cyber Security Analyst is split across four core focus areas:
- Incident Response
- Vulnerability Management
- SIEM
- Security Monitoring
You will provide expertise on security best practices and act as a subject matter expert (SME) when assisting other teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise on cyber security best practices and provide technical guidance across the business.
- Lead and support incident response processes and investigations.
- Perform vulnerability management to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Monitor security events using SIEM (Security Information & Event Management).
- Utilise technical security tools such as EDR, Wireshark, and DLP.
- Develop and enhance threat-mitigation strategies.
Essential Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Incident Response experience
- Security Monitoring experience
- Vulnerability Management experience
- Knowledge of technical security tools, including:
- SIEM (e.g., Sentinel, Defender)
- EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response)
- Wireshark, Burp Suite (for penetration testing)
- DLP (Data Loss Prevention)
- Hands-on experience with KQL (Kusto Query Language)
- Broad technical understanding of:
- Windows & Linux
- Networking
- Virtualisation (e.g., VMware)
- Familiarity with security certifications (GCIA, GCIH, GCFA) is advantageous.
- Investigation experience into Information & Cyber Security incidents.
