About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and versatile IT Assistant to support the IT Manager in maintaining and developing IT operations at our site. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from providing technical support and maintaining equipment to supporting users across both office and warehouse environments. A key part of the role includes supporting and troubleshooting third-party hardware used in warehouse operations, such as handheld scanners, mobile devices and label printers. The successful candidate will become a visible and trusted IT presence on site, helping to ensure systems, devices and equipment remain reliable, organised and fit for purpose. Maybe change to: Capable of working autonomously, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues. Flexibility, a hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved wherever required are essential. No two days will look the same, and you'll play an important part in supporting the site's day-to-day operations. Whilst there will be busy periods supporting users and resolving technical issues, there will also be quieter periods where we'd expect the successful candidate to proactively identify improvements, carry out preventative maintenance, update documentation, check equipment and help ensure site technology remains in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the IT Manager with a wide range of IT and operational tasks as required.
  • Provide friendly and effective technical support for hardware, software, networks and devices.
  • Set up, configure and maintain computers, printers and related equipment.
  • Assist with updates, routine checks and general system maintenance.
  • Help monitor and support network connectivity to ensure reliable access for all users.
  • Manage user accounts and access rights, including onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for third-party warehouse hardware, including handheld scanners, mobile devices and label printers.
  • Maintain accurate records, asset inventories and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with senior IT staff or external suppliers where required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • Assist with practical tasks around the site to support day-to-day operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
