IT Internal Audit Manager Location: London Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + Competitive Bonus Working Pattern: 2 days per week in-office
We are seeking a proactive IT Internal Audit Manager to join an expanding Group Internal Audit (GIA) function. In this role, you won’t just be "checking boxes"—you will be a trusted advisor, providing independent assurance and subject matter expertise on Technology, Cyber, and Change risks across a diverse listed bank.
The Role As a key member of the Technology and Change Audit team, you will drive the delivery of the audit plan to best-practice standards. Your insights will directly influence the Audit Committee, Board, and senior management on the effectiveness of risk management and governance systems.
Key Responsibilities: Lead & Execute: Deliver high-quality, end-to-end audits as a subject matter expert in Technology, Cyber, and SDLC. Strategic Input: Contribute to the annual risk assessment process and help shape the annual audit plan. Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong, credible relationships with business leaders to embed a robust control culture. Continuous Monitoring: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring business changes and emerging tech risks (Cloud, Data, etc.). Mentorship: Support the wider team through coaching, knowledge sharing, and promoting continuous improvement in audit methodology.

What We’re Looking For Experience: Proven track record in IT Internal Audit, ideally within the Financial Services sector. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of risk and control principles relating to Cyber Security, SDLC, Cloud infrastructure, and Data Analytics. Communication: Exceptional writing and presentation skills—you can explain complex technical risks to non-technical stakeholders clearly and succinctly. Qualifications: CISA certification is essential. Mindset: A motivated, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a collaborative, influence-driven culture.
