IT FIELD OPERATIONS ENGINEER

£40,000 - £50,000 | Field Based | UK Travel

ABOUT THE CLIENT We're working with an established organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its IT infrastructure and operational technology. As part of this growth, they're looking for an IT Field Operations Engineer to join the team, supporting a variety of UK sites and playing a key role in infrastructure improvements, technology rollouts and day-to-day operational support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has the core technical foundations and is looking to take the next step in their career. The business is keen to invest in someone with the right attitude, offering plenty of opportunities to learn, develop and grow alongside emerging technologies.

THE IT FIELD OPERATIONS ENGINEER ROLE You'll be responsible for providing hands-on IT support across multiple UK sites, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of infrastructure, networking and end-user technologies. You'll work closely with the central IT Operations team, supporting hardware deployments, Meraki networking, firewall changes, Microsoft 365 technologies and site-based IT projects.

The role will suit someone who enjoys getting stuck into practical technical work, is comfortable travelling to different locations and is passionate about continually learning new technologies.

IT FIELD OPERATIONS ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS Previous experience within an IT Support or IT Field Engineer role Good understanding of networking principles with exposure to Meraki preferred Firewall experience or a willingness to develop further in this area Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Full UK Driving Licence A genuine passion for technology, learning and continuous improvement
