Infrastructure & Hardware Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Hardware Engineer to join our IT team and take ownership of critical infrastructure operations across on-premises, cloud, and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure AD, VMware, networking, security, patch management, and OT systems (e.g., SCADA) while ensuring robust and secure IT services that support both enterprise and operational technology.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Design, implement, and manage on-premise Active Directory and Azure AD environments, including hybrid integrations.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware environments, including clustering and high availability.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 E5 suite, including Defender, Sentinel, and Purview security and compliance solutions.
  • Oversee Intune for device lifecycle management and mobile device deployment (Android & iOS).

Networking & Security

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot TCP/IP, VLANs, WLANs, firewalls, and switches.
  • Implement and maintain network segmentation and secure communication for IT and OT systems.
  • Lead vulnerability assessment and patch management processes to ensure systems remain secure and compliant.

Operations & Support

  • Provide advanced support for desktop, laptop, and printer troubleshooting.
  • Manage ITSM processes using platforms such as Halo or ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with production teams to support Operational Technology (OT) systems such as SCADA and ensure secure IT/OT integration.

Database & Development Knowledge

  • Possess working knowledge of SQL, Java, and JavaScript for troubleshooting, integrations, and system customization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, hardware, and enterprise system management.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Azure AD & On-Prem AD
    • VMware, Clustering, and Virtualization
    • Networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, WLAN)
    • Firewalls & Switches
    • Microsoft 365 E5 Suite (Defender, Sentinel, Purview)
    • Vulnerability & Patch Management
    • Microsoft Intune & Mobile Device Management (Android & iOS)
    • ITSM tools (Halo, ServiceNow)
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments with OT systems (e.g., SCADA).
  • Knowledgeable in SQL, Java, JavaScript for system administration tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for desktop and printer hardware/software issues.
  • ITIL certification (or strong working knowledge of ITIL practices) is a plus.
