Lead IT for a Growing Manufacturing Business
We're partnering with a well-established, financially secure manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced IT Manager who will take ownership of the entire IT function at a busy production site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys combining strategic planning with day-to-day technical leadership. You'll be the go-to technology expert, working closely with senior leadership while ensuring the business operates on secure, reliable and modern IT systems.
This is a highly visible position where you'll have genuine influence over technology strategy, infrastructure improvements, cybersecurity and business systems across a complex manufacturing environment.
The Opportunity
You'll take responsibility for all aspects of the local IT environment, including:
- Managing servers, networks, Microsoft infrastructure and cloud technologies
- Owning cybersecurity, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Supporting business-critical applications, ERP and manufacturing systems
- Leading IT projects from concept through to delivery
- Managing third-party suppliers and technology partners
- Driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance business performance
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to align technology with business objectives
- Providing hands-on support where required while maintaining a strategic outlook.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years' experience in a senior IT management or infrastructure leadership role
- Strong Microsoft technology background including Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Excellent networking knowledge covering LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi and firewalls
- Proven experience delivering cybersecurity initiatives and managing business-critical infrastructure
- Experience managing backups, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Strong vendor and supplier management experience
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical delivery
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the business.

Desirable
- Manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, print or packaging industry experience
- SQL Server and database administration
- Power BI or Business Intelligence experience
- Crystal Reports
- ERP or manufacturing systems experience
- Azure or Microsoft certifications
- Experience working within regulated environments
