IT Manager - Birmingham (Hybrid)

We are seeking an IT Manager to lead TXP's internal technology function. This role carries genuine technical awareness but does not require you to be the primary hands-on engineer; you will work closely with a Senior Technical Engineer who carries deep hands-on delivery, while you own the overall service, security, governance and direction of TXP's internal IT.

Leading a small internal IT team, you will be accountable for the reliability, security and cost-effectiveness of TXP's Azure and Microsoft 365 estate, covering approximately 200 corporate laptops and 400 user accounts across a hybrid, part BYOD population, spread across four main office locations. You will set direction, hold your team and vendors to account, and ensure TXP's own use of technology reflects the standards we deliver for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the day-to-day running of TXP's internal IT function, providing clear direction and holding the team accountable for service levels.
  • Lead, coach and develop the internal IT team, including the Senior Technical Engineer, building technical depth and resilience within the function.
  • Set clear objectives and provide regular feedback, balancing individual development with the needs of the wider business.
  • Build a culture of ownership, curiosity and continuous improvement within the internal IT team.
  • Maintain service levels for incident response, request fulfilment and problem management, with clear tracking of performance against agreed targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
