Information Technology Project Manager
Interim IT Project Manager – Social Care Function
We are currently supporting a Local Authority seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support across multiple social care transformation programmes.
About the Role
The role centres on providing governance, consistency, reporting, stakeholder management, and oversight across several interdependent programmes, with a particular focus on the Council’s Mosaic platform and related transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Delivering complex programmes within a Local Authority environment
- Ensuring strong programme governance, reporting, risk, and dependency management
- Managing the transition of Mosaic Social Care System, including database and platform migrations
- Supporting SQL Server environments and technical delivery processes
- Facilitating excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills across multiple workstreams
- Balancing complex technical and infrastructure-led projects

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience delivering complex programmes in a Local Authority setting
- Strong expertise in programme governance, reporting, risk, and dependency management
- Significant experience with the Mosaic Social Care System
- Experience managing technical projects, database migrations, and platform transitions
- Knowledge of SQL Server environments and technical delivery processes
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple workstreams simultaneously

Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with:
- CareCubed
- Magic Notes
- Amacis
- Social Care finance systems
- Prepaid card solutions
- Qualifications in MSP, PRINCE2, PMP, APMP, or equivalent
- Experience within Children’s Services transformation programmes
Role Details
- Day Rate: Circa £400 DOE
- Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Employment Status: Inside IR35
- Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote – minimal on-site in London
