IT Project Manager

IT Project Manager contract opportunity

£475-520 per day, inside IR35
Hybrid working, four days per week onsite in Bristol
Active SC clearance required

ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is a specialist organisation delivering complex, technology-led programmes within a highly regulated environment. Their internal IT function supports critical business operations and a broad technical estate. They are now looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead infrastructure-focused projects from the early design stages through to delivery.

THE IT PROJECT MANAGER ROLE:

As IT Project Manager, you will take ownership of infrastructure-related projects, particularly during the early definition and design phases. You will work closely with project sponsors, architects, engineers, cyber security specialists, suppliers and senior stakeholders to define requirements, develop plans and establish effective project governance.

You will manage the full range of project activities, including planning, budgets, RAID management, reporting, task management, stakeholder communications, supplier coordination, change control and project documentation. The wider role may involve platform design, servers, networks, data centres, on-premises infrastructure and cloud-related environments.

IT PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Previous experience delivering at least two IT infrastructure projects
  • Broad technical understanding of infrastructure, platforms, servers, networks, data centres or on-premises cloud
  • Experience working on projects during the definition and design phases
  • Strong project planning, governance, RAID and reporting experience
  • Budget, resource, task and supplier management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Awareness of cyber security and Identity and Access Management considerations
  • Able to work onsite in Bristol, four days per week
  • Active SC required
  • Experience within defence, Secure by Design or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous.
