The Role
We are primarily seeking an individual who is ambitious, driven, and ready for an exciting new challenge. If you are someone who has an enquiring mind, a desire for self-improvement, and are passionate about technology, then we would encourage you to apply for this role.
Apply to join our forward-thinking company in York as a Technology Solutions Specialist with the opportunity to progress to Operations Manager depending on performance.
This role has an unusual and unique combination of design, build, and support facets. You’ll play a vital role in the delivery of our products, bridging the gap between gathering requirements and long-term client satisfaction.
Career Progression & Growth Potential
We recognise that the successful candidate may not initially possess every skill listed for this role. What matters most is your ability to demonstrate strong potential, personal accountability, and a capacity to develop into the role of Operations Manager as the business scales.
Please note: This is NOT a traditional IT helpdesk role.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Technology Solutions Specialist, you will be involved across a broad spectrum of products and it is for this reason we are looking for an ambitious yet open-minded individual with the potential to grow and develop. Below are the four key areas that you’d be involved within the role.
- Product Architecture & Solution Design: Turn received client requirements into working product designs alongside sales and client management. Outline delivery plans, submit PO requests to Finance, and schedule resources. Train client end-users to ensure high adoption and full use of the tech. Work with R&D to test new tools for future client solutions.
- Product Delivery & Deployment: Agree project timelines with account teams and clients. Build and configure chosen product setups to specification. Lead go-live milestones for a smooth move into production. Coordinate with Finance for final invoicing and account teams for project reviews.
- Product Support & Maintenance: Provide technical support and keep client systems healthy. Schedule regular system checks and maintenance routines. Manage spare parts, repairs, and third-party supplier links. Meet strict SLAs and share service improvement ideas internally.
- Data & Systems Integrity: Keep internal systems accurate across all projects and support tickets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
