Job Title: Product Engineer
Location: Leeds
Salary: £35,000+ Base & Benefits
About the Role
As a Product Engineer, you will develop, improve, and maintain tools that support code management, build, deployment, and automation processes. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams, providing guidance on best practices for build, deployment, and configuration management while proactively supporting infrastructure and application issues. This role also involves ensuring the ongoing support, maintenance, and upgrade of technology components to enable reliable and efficient delivery across all environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Interface with development and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of project goals.
- Proactively troubleshoot and support issues related to infrastructure and application deployments.
- Provide assurance and guidance on build/deployment best practices and configuration management across development, test, and production environments.
- Take ownership of ongoing support, upgrades, and maintenance for key technology components.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Systems & Infrastructure: Good working knowledge of Linux, Networking, and if possible PKI.
- Tooling: Proficiency with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Open Source: Ability to leverage a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools.
About the Team
The Global Engineering Platform Team owns and provides a global capability of engineering tools ‘as-a-service’, supporting delivery and engineering teams in planning, building, and deploying their products. Borrowing principles from Agile, DevOps, and SRE, the team balances reliable service operations with the delivery of ongoing project enhancements.

Security & Eligibility Requirements
