IT Support Engineer
About the Role
We are working with a globally recognised high-performance engineering organisation to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join a fast-paced technical support team based in Brixworth.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in an IT Support or Service Desk environment to work within a cutting-edge motorsport and engineering setting, supporting critical infrastructure and operational technology services in a customer-focused role.
The successful candidate must have:
- A strong customer service mindset
- A solid understanding of ITIL principles
- The ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- A passion for elite motorsport
Purpose of the Role
- Deliver first-class IT operational support across specialised engineering and operational business areas
- Work closely within a small, highly collaborative support team to provide exceptional service to key stakeholders
- Participate in structured shadowing and training programmes to support remote operational teams during live global events
- Balance competing priorities effectively while managing stakeholder expectations
- Deliver operational and project-based technical support against demanding SLAs and tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities
- Support and deliver technical solutions across all stages of the ITIL service lifecycle
- Provide exceptional support while assisting and mentoring wider support team members
- Ensure all work adheres to defined processes, architectural standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
- Build strong working relationships internally and with third-party suppliers
- Take ownership of support requests through to resolution and customer sign-off
- Identify opportunities for service improvement across infrastructure, support processes, security, availability, and performance
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the IT function

Required Experience
- Windows 10/11 and mobile operating systems
- Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
- Active Directory and Group Policy management
- Networking fundamentals, including:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- WAN
- LAN
- Knowledge of storage systems, monitoring, performance, and availability tools
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft certifications
- Cisco CCNA
- Strong interest in motorsport, live operations, or high-performance engineering environments
