π¨ We're Hiring: Deskside Support Engineer | Edinburgh, Scotland π»
Are you a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving technical issues and delivering exceptional end-user support? We're looking for a Deskside Support Engineer to join a 12-month on-site contract in Edinburgh.
π§ What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and business applications.
- Perform software updates, patch management, and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and support hardware lifecycle management.
- Implement security best practices, including antivirus, user access controls, and compliance with IT policies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a secure and standardized IT environment.

β What You'll Need:
- Experience in Deskside/Desktop Support or IT Support.
- Strong Windows troubleshooting skills (hardware and software).
- Experience with PC builds, imaging, deployments, and software installations.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and basic networking is desirable.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
