Information Technology Support Engineer

2nd Line Support Engineer

Woking, Surrey 4 days a week onsite

Overview

We are currently recruiting a 2nd Line Engineer to be based on-site at our customer in Woking. Our customer is a market leader in the Catering and Food Supply sector.

You’ll work with an experienced team of Engineers who support from their Head Office, assisting you within this role.

Key responsibility: providing IT systems support during a period of substantial business growth, alongside contributions from other supporting engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities (Woking)

Though based on-site supporting our client, you’re a vital component of the Tailor Made Technologies team, forming their team’s daily face.

As a 2nd Line IT Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering outstanding customer care via efficient ticket management
  • Offering first-response fixes and incident resolution—or escalating as needed
  • Managing working queues and prioritising events to meet SLAs
  • Building machines while adhering to service standards, driving high productivity to ensure an exceptional customer experience
  • Full training and support provided to support career growth.

Supporting Technologies/Experience

Welcomed but not required:

  • Service desk ticketing systems
  • Windows Desktops configuration-support experience
  • Windows Server configuration-support experience
  • Microsoft 365/O365-admin support experience
  • Microsoft Exchange configuration-support experience
  • Active Directory experience
  • VMware support
  • Citrix support
  • Strong networking expertise (technologies underground)
  • ITIL awareness/familiarity
