We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure while supporting users across multiple office locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems while delivering exceptional technical support to the wider business.

Key Duties:

  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows and cloud-based server environments.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and access controls.
  • Provide first, second, and third-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain company laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative maintenance.
  • Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and firewalls.
  • Manage endpoint security, antivirus solutions, multi-factor authentication, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity procedures.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees by provisioning and decommissioning IT equipment and accounts.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers, licences, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies, software deployments, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors and managed service providers where required.
  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR, information security standards, and internal IT policies.
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours support for planned maintenance or critical business issues.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience as an IT Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience managing Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Exchange Online, and SharePoint.
  • Good understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networking.
  • Experience supporting cloud technologies and virtualisation platforms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and endpoint security solutions.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional IT support.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a wider technology team.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Azure Administrator, or equivalent would be advantageous.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience supporting multiple office locations across different countries.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience supporting HRIS, ERP, CRM, and other enterprise business applications.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, or other information security frameworks.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment.
