Job Title: IT Team Leader (Brunssum, Netherlands, EMEA)

Package starting at €70,000

About the Role

The IT Team Leader is a hands-on technical lead who provides on-site IT support for the Brunssum office and supervises a small regional support team. This role combines day-to-day troubleshooting and customer service with people management responsibilities, working with internal IT teams and external vendors to maintain reliable IT services for users in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Technical Support

  • Provide tier II technical support for computers, mobile devices, printers, and local hardware.
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for high-priority issues, employee onboarding hardware/software setup, and escalations.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of local IT assets and coordinate purchases, warranty claims, and replacements with asset management.

Security & Compliance

  • Promote and support IT security practices including password hygiene, MFA, endpoint security, and basic end-user security training.
  • Help ensure local compliance with corporate IT standards and assist with security audits or incidents as needed.

Operations & Systems

  • Assist the technical operations team with infrastructure or network issues impacting the local office.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for business systems used at the location, documenting issues and routing to the correct support groups.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team (typically 2–4) of IT Support Specialists or local vendors.
  • Oversee daily support activities to ensure timely, high-quality service to users.
  • Coordinate with regional IT managers and desktop/application teams to ensure alignment.
  • Participate in hiring, performance feedback, and local capability planning.
  • Track and help meet local SLA/OLA targets and support efforts to improve service quality and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4–7 years of IT support experience with hands-on desktop and workplace technology support.
  • 1–3 years of people leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or regional environments is a plus (EMEA experience preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Windows 10/11 environment.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM) and identity basics (AD/Azure AD).
  • Experience with M365, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, SD+, Jira) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of vendor-managed services and local vendor coordination.
