IT Technical Services Manager (SC Cleared / Eligible)

Experience in a customer-facing technical leadership role.

Location: UK (Hybrid / Client-facing)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 plus Bonus plus Car Allowance and many core benefits

The Role

PropRec Search are seeking a highly experienced Technical Services Manager (TSM) to act as the technical authority, trusted advisor, and senior technical voice of the customer internally across a portfolio of enterprise customers.

This is a strategic, customer-facing leadership role where you will take ownership of the customer’s technology services, ensuring they deliver measurable business value, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

You will operate at the intersection of technical leadership, service governance, and executive engagement, shaping technology roadmaps, mitigating risk, validating change, and driving transformation outcomes within complex managed services environments.

Working across a matrix delivery model, you will provide technical leadership, governance and assurance across our teams, partners and third parties, ensuring services remain aligned to customer outcomes, operational best practice and long-term strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and technical governance meetings.
  • Develop technology roadmaps and Service Improvement Plans.
  • Provide technical leadership during major incidents and change management activities.
  • Manage technical risks and ensure services align with business objectives.
  • Support projects, operational delivery, and service optimisation.
  • Promote security, compliance, and best practice across customer environments.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in a customer-facing technical leadership role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Broad enterprise IT knowledge across cloud, infrastructure, networking, Microsoft technologies, and managed services.
  • Experience with ITIL, Incident, Problem, Change, and Risk Management.
  • Ability to work across multiple technical teams and third-party suppliers.
