Information Security Assurance Analyst - Contract
I'm currently working with an established UK technology business looking for an Information Security Assurance Analyst to join on an initial contract.
This is a great opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, working within an established Information Security function to strengthen assurance activities across suppliers, internal controls and governance.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering a range of assurance activities including supplier security reviews, internal control assessments and audit support.
- Working closely with Engineering, IT, Procurement and wider business stakeholders to identify and manage security risk.
- Leading assurance initiatives independently with minimal onboarding or oversight.
- Reviewing security controls, identifying gaps and ensuring findings are documented and tracked through to completion.
- Supporting compliance with recognised security frameworks and helping improve assurance processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
