Infra Architect
Location: Basildon Work Mode: Onsite
Job Summary
Foundational Responsibility: Transitioning into an Infra Architect role, defining high-performance, scalable, enterprise-level infrastructure—both on-premise and in the cloud—to meet evolving business demands.
Key Requirements & Experience
Technical Leadership & Architecture:
- 5+ years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles, preferably with familiarity in financial services or similarly regulated industries.
- 10+ years of IT experience, with a balanced expertise in:
- On-premise infrastructure
- Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
Technical Skills:
- Core proficiencies:
- Networking and security governance
- On-prem/cloud hybrid/deployment
- Databases & event streaming (Kafka-based systems)
- Observability (Splunk, Dynatrace)
- Automation (CI/CD pipelines, IaC—DevOps tools)
- Hands-on experience with:
- VMware environments
- Linux & Windows OS management
- Kubernetes orchestration
- Enterprise-grade storage solutions
- Understanding of regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI DSS compliance standards).

- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Clear articulation of technical concepts across diverse (technical/non-technical) audiences.
- Direct client-work experience with cross-functional teams.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Authoring well-structured solution architecture docs & technical guides.
- Proficiency in tools like Confluence and Jira for collaborative work.
Education & Certifications
- Degrees:
- Bachelor’s minimum in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related fields; Master’s preferred.
- Certifications (desirable):
- Cloud architecture credentials (AWS/Azure) – highly regarded.

Preferred Qualifications
✔ SaaS/multi-tenant architecture experience. ✔ Regulated industries background (particularly financial services). ✔ Proven track record leading geographically dispersed teams. ✔ Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.

Salary: £300 – £350 per day
